Core Values

 

 

The primary goal of Deborah Ross Ministries is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ; therefore, we have firm beliefs about the Christian faith and the Bible. This ministry is built on 7 core principles from God's Word that govern our organization.

 

1) Proverbs 4:7 KJV

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

 

We believe that God gives wisdom, liberally, to all that ask. For this reason, we are committed to teaching God's people how to find wisdom in the balance of knowledge and understanding. When God's people humbly approach His Word void of preconceived ideas and spiritual strongholds, the Holy Spirit's wisdom will flood their soul.  

 

 

2) Genesis 1:27 KJV

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

 

We believe that God made each person male or female. For this reason, we are committed to speaking God's truth to all who desire to be free from gender confusion. Our passion is to gently help broken humanity understand that God's truth is the highest form of love available. We unapologetically administer God's love (God's Word) and offer deliverance to those who want to be free. 

 

3) 3 John 2 KJV

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

 

We believe that God has good plans for all of His children - plans to prosper them and do them good. We are committed to encouraging God's people to believe that He wants to reward them as described in Hebrews 11:6. Psalm 103 says that we should remember all of God's benefits, which includes the forgiving of our iniquities and the healing of all our diseases. Our heart is to teach God's people how to believe Him for provision, health, safety and healing - growing them up to be reliant upon Him, and Him alone, for all their needs. We join our faith with the expectation of each individual believer to seek God on their behalf and to pray the prayer of faith.

 

4) Malachi 2:16 NKJV 

For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce.

 

We believe that the family is the foundation of God's establishment. God hates divorce because divorce hurts people; God does NOT hate divorced people. According to God's Word, broken families create broken people and, all too often, these broken people find it difficult to trust God. We are committed to helping married couples navigate their way to victory by helping them understand how the forces of hell are waging war against their holy union. We focus on breaking down life principles from the Word of God that pull down strongholds and break generational dysfunctions that, if left unchecked, will lead to divorce. Jesus said in Matthew 19, God's plan has always been for a man and woman to stay together in marriage for a lifetime. Ephesians 5:22-33 explains how a marriage should reflect the church and her bridegroom - Jesus.

 

 

5) Mark 16:15-20

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

 

We believe in the fullness of the Great Commission - allowing God to be the suprernatural God that He is. 1 Corinthians 12, 13 and 14 clearly explain the value of mixing spiritual gifts, love and preaching so that the church can be made whole. Our goal is to do things decently and in order while not omitting certain aspects of the instructions and the examples that Jesus taught. The passion of our heart is for God's people to experience His all-encompassing work of salvation - body, soul and spirit. Realizing that some congregations have been taught the Mark 16 version of the great commission while others only have understanding of the Matthew 28 account, we seek to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in a way that honors the Lord, without causing confusion.

 

6) Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

 

We believe that God has given every person the right to choose. Even so, His Word clearly explains the consequences of making the wrong choices and the benefits of making the right choices. We are committed to carefully explaining God's Word so that those who have been taught lies concerning sin will be able to comprehend it's wages. Our focus is to see generations live in the blessing of God's covenant. 

 

7) Psalm 139:13-14 KJV

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

 

We believe that life begins in the womb and that every life is precious to God. We are committed to helping God's people understand His heart by teaching, encouraging and referring expectant mother's to choose life while also administering the healing oil of forgiveness over the heads of those who have already aborted their baby. God loves all people, in all stages of life, of all races, of all social classes, of all nations. He is not a respecter of persons.
