Do You Read Warning Labels?
Hello Believers and
Look at prescription drug warning labels
in the USA. We all hear and see the print, radio, and T V commercials that point to the horrific side-effects of most drugs... even the possibility of death! We pay N0 ATTENTION to these warnings labels and the proof is the billion dollar prescription drug market.
Unfortunately, the same mindset is prevalent in the body of Christ today. We no longer take God's warning(s) serious. The result is that the church today lives - and looks - much like the world today, living in spiritual darkness and sickness
spoke about remembrance of
himself at the last supper. Through His demonstration of this holy event with His disciples, He explained the significance of communion and its true meaning. The cup represents His blood and the birth of the new testament church, the bread is the symbol of his broken body. Both were - and are - for the remission of our sins.
Jesus warned us that we must remember to examine ourselves before partaking of the holy communion meal. God's warning labels are not something that "might" happen. His warning labels are more of "if" and "then" statements uttered from the mouth of the one true God of this universe. In other words, if you do this... you will receive that. Or, if you don't do this... you will not receive that.
Why is this
subject so urgent today? Yesterday, as I taught on the benefits of our salvation: deliverance,
healing, peace, joy, life... instead of the death sentence, I noticed how we have allowed the
spirits of this world (antichrist spirits) to lull the church to sleep. Just as
the Corinthians did
not understand the full
benefits of living a forgiven life in Christ, when we teach on the sacred promises
and sacraments of a Holy God, the world (and much of the church) can't grasp it. Unfortunately, the church no longer heeds the Word or understands
the benefits of
living the forgiven Christ life.
11: 28-30 says, "But let a man examine (look deep
within our hearts) himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that
cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily (with known sin in their life) eateth and drinketh damnation (sin brings
the opposite of what God desires for us) to himself, not
discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and
sickly among you, and many sleep. (results of taking communion without repentance and sin in our
lives is we have a weak, sickly, drugged society)." - quotations added for understanding.
Here is the warning
label straight from the word of God... 1 Corinthians 11:27 says, "Wherefore whosoever shall eat
this bread, and drink this cup of the lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord."
the shall does not mean maybe or the possibility of; but rather, the word shall states "what shall be." What shall we be guilty of? Crucifying Christ afresh and anew, just as if we
had plunged the spear through his side penetrating his heart, again. SELAH
The Good News is that the Word of God tells us how to avoid these earthly snares. Only by worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in Truth can we reap the full benefits of our great Salvation. Jesus paid the price for us to live a blessed life, but He also added that faith without works is dead.
As Andy Griffith would say! "It's gooood for you".
God is Good
all the time!
